Anatomy of a Goal: ≈40% of Ronaldo's Take

A look at almost forty percent of Cristiano Ronaldo's goals to date in the 2011-12 La Liga.

With another two goals in Real Madrid's 4-1 victory over an eventually-down-to-ten-men and game Athletic Bilbao, Cristiano Ronaldo regained his spot atop La Liga's goals scored list.  The reigning Pichichi winner had entered the weekend's fixtures with a two-goal cushion over Barcelona's Lionel Messi, but Messi netting his fifth hat-track of the season on Sunday against Malaga meant a brace from the yet-to-play Ronaldo was needed to keep his take one ahead at the end of the round.  And deliver Ronaldo did, driving home two penalties, his eighth and ninth from the spot for the season, pushing his overall season total to twenty-three.

As such, an analysis of just under forty percent of Ronaldo's La Liga goals:
